NYSC orientation camp.

1. Regularly attend and participate fully in all official field
engagements, conferences and all workplaces.
a. Any member who arrives late for an official engagement in the field, at
conferences or at workplaces will be tried by the camp court and, if found
guilty, will be liable to be decamped and expelled from the camp.
b. The member is only allowed to return to duty by joining the next group for
the orientation exercise.
2. Do not leave the orientation camp or be absent from any official
activity without the written consent of the State Coordinator, but in the event
of absence from his duties due to illness, ensure that these absences are
covered by a “Excuse Duty Certificate” issued by a duty doctor at the camp
a. Any member who leaves the camp without the authorization of the State
Coordinator will be tried by the Camp Court and, if found guilty, will be
liable to be decamped and expelled from the camp.
b. The member is only allowed to return to duty by joining the next group for
the orientation exercise.
3. Do not play gamble on the premises.
a. Any member who plays must be reported to the police for prosecution.
Not in possession of firearms or ammunition
a. Any member who violates this rule will be reported to the police for
prosecution.
4. Do not smoke, chew anything, make or answer calls, during the parade
and at any other time, do not smoke in a prohibited area or carelessly throw
lighted cigarette butts or lighted matches into the premises.
a. Any member who violates this rule will be tried by the camp court and, if
found guilty, will be subject to an additional thirty (30) minute exercise.
5. Don’t get drunk
a. Any member found to be intoxicated will be tried by the camp court and, if
found guilty, will be liable to additional exercise and / or confinement in the
camp rehabilitation room for thirty (30) minutes.
6. Do not receive visitors in the camp except Saturdays, Sundays and
holidays.
a. Any member who violates this rule will be tried by the camp court and, if
found guilty, face additional exercise and / or confinement in the camp
rehabilitation room for thirty (30) minutes.
7. Wear the different uniforms provided for the activities
a. Any member who refuses, fails or neglects to comply with this rule will be
tried by the camp court and, if found guilty, will be liable to be decamped and
expelled from the orientation camp.
8. Do not keep pets in the camp
a. Any member bringing pets to the camp must not be registered and if already
registered must be decamped.
9. Do not participate in the crowd action
a. Any member who takes part in a riot or mob action should be reported to the
police for prosecution.
10. Not steal.
a. Any member who steals must be reported to the police for prosecution
11. Do not participate or organize parties in the camp without the
written permission of the State Coordinator.
a. Any member who fails, refuses or neglects to comply with this rule will be
tried by the camp court and, if found guilty, will be liable to additional
exercise and / or confinement in the rehabilitation room of the camp for thirty
(30) minutes.
12. Do not be insubordinate or rude to camp officials
a. Any member who is rude to camp officials will be tried by the Camp Court
and, if found guilty, will be subject to extended service for (30) days at half
pay.
13. Not being in possession of hard drugs like cocaine, Indian hemp,
heroin, etc.
a. Any member who is in possession of hard drugs should be reported to the
police for prosecution.
14. Do not bring vehicles or motorcycles into the orientation camp.
a. Any member who brings vehicles or motorcycles to the camp must not be
registered, and if already registered, must be decamped
b. Such a member will only be allowed to return to duty to join the next group
in the orientation camp.
15. Any member who organizes or engages in any form of secret worship
activity will be immediately suspended and the matter referred to the police.
a. This member can only return to service if he is exonerated by the police
investigation report.
16. Do not address the press on any political issue without the prior
written consent of the State Coordinator
a. Any member who addresses the press on a matter of policy without the written
consent of the State Coordinator will be tried by the camp court and, if found
guilty, will face an extension of service for thirty ( 30) days on half pay.
